New product: PropControl 4
A key highlight at the booth is the new PropControl 4 propulsion control system. Designed for azimuth thrusters, transverse thrusters and CPP shaftlines, it provides vessel operators with advanced functions for propulsion and vessel control. Its modular architecture allows it to be tailored to specific vessel types, ensuring the appropriate functions and operating modes for any propulsion configuration. The new interactive bridge components make even complex propulsion systems easier to operate. Enhanced ergonomics, haptic feedback and a push-to-talk interface further support vessel operators in their day-to-day work. PropControl 4 complies with current cybersecurity requirements according to IACS UR E27 and IEC 62443-3 and features a redundant system design with an FFU backup system, ensuring seamless continued operation via the familiar control lever in the event of a failure. As part of the SCHOTTEL Smart Thruster Platform, PropControl 4 benefits from a shared hardware and software architecture. Additional monitoring and connectivity functions, based on the proven SCHOTTEL IoT and Monitoring System, provide the foundation for reliable, future-ready operation throughout the entire vessel lifecycle. At the booth, visitors will be able to experience the system live on an interactive demonstrator and explore the latest functionalities firsthand.

Proven propulsion systems on display
Supporting customers from vessel design to long-term operation, the company will also showcase illustrative scale models of its proven propulsion solutions at the booth, including the SCHOTTEL RudderPropeller SRP, the SCHOTTEL Controllable Pitch Propeller SCP, and the SCHOTTEL PumpJet SPJ. In the center is the highly efficient SCHOTTEL EcoPeller SRE, whose hydrodynamically optimized design allows it to produce maximum steering forces and enables top values in terms of overall efficiency and course keeping ability. The SRE continues to demonstrate its capabilities in demanding applications: recent orders include installation in a naval rescue vessel as well as the modernization of Norwegian ferries.

Comprehensive system expertise from a single source
Being at customers’ side from concept development to system integration, SCHOTTEL and its sister company elkon, a specialist in electrical system integration, will present solutions for the generation, distribution, storage and management of electrical energy on board. The focus will be on energy-efficient propulsion concepts as well as the hybridization and electrification of propulsion systems. Together, the two companies provide integrated system expertise from a single source, helping customers navigate the transition towards future-ready vessel concepts.

Another key focus of the exhibition presence is the company’s After Sales Service, which offers a wide range of services designed to increase efficiency and minimize downtime.
