The production site in Dörth, which was opened in 2015, features maximum efficiency in all areas: in its connection to the transport network, its sophisticated logistics as well as its intelligent material flow based on an optimal overall layout.

Efficiency is further enhanced by the versatility of the machines and systems, which ensure the traditionally high level of vertical range of manufacture. This enables SCHOTTEL to produce all of the main parts of the propulsion systems itself. This is not only ensured by many years of expertise and high availability, but also consistently high quality.

SUSTAINABLE ENERGY MANAGEMENT

The site also meets the latest requirements in the area of environmental protection: Photovoltaic systems supply the factory with environmentally friendly electricity, reducing the consumption of conventional power. The ventilation systems work with heat recovery; the heat from the compressors is additionally used to heat the painting and drying cabins. The warm water, which is heated by the test runs of the propulsion units and the resulting frictional energy, is also used by a heat pump to heat the offices.
