To ensure that our ship propulsion systems are operational even under the toughest conditions and reliably provide propulsion and manoeuvring power, it is essential that there is optimal interaction between all components. We ensure this by combining many years of design expertise with powerful simulation tools and test field results.
In addition to strength, deformation and heat transfer calculations, state-of-the-art simulations enhance the SCHOTTEL toolbox. Frequency response analyses, multi-body simulations and studies on short-term dynamics help us to understand the digital twin of our products.
This enables us to simulate the operating behaviour of the entire propulsion system for any kind of manoeuvre and to calculate dynamic CFD loads as well as internal displacements and stresses. Mapping real products as numerical models gives us results that support the findings from the test field trials, all this with the focus on the reliability, efficiency and safety of our products.
