Perfect combination of engine room and bridge

Dual study programmes at SCHOTTEL

Our dual study programmes combine solid, future-oriented vocational training with an academic course of study that will qualify you for further demanding tasks in the course of your subsequent career. If you decide on one of the four options, you will be on board with us for at least four years and nine months. That is how long studies and training take. We certainly hope to find you an exciting job in our company after this and help you to advance your career once on board.

Dual study programmes

Four options for entry

  • Industrial Mechanic & Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering
  • Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering & Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering
  • IT Specialist for System Integration & Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology
  • Mechatronics Technician & Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics

Study programmes only start once every four years

We cooperate with the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences and the Koblenz Chamber of Industry and Commerce within the framework of our dual study programmes. The first year begins with a company training phase which familiarises you with hands-on activities at SCHOTTEL and in the Koblenz Industrial Training Workshop. In the second year, you will go and study at the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. Skilled labour and higher education now run parallel with different specialization within the individual semesters. During the semester breaks and the practical semesters, you will work in the company, putting what you have learned directly into practice. In the fourth year, you will complete your training as a skilled worker with an examination at the Koblenz Chamber of Industry and Commerce. After completing two more semesters and the Bachelor’s thesis, the title of Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) will be yours.
