SCHOTTEL takes over Wolfgang Preinfalk GmbH
Professor Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Jensen: „Ideal addition for both companies“
SCHOTTEL, a leading German manufacturer of propulsions systems, headquartered in Spay/Rhine, acquired the German Wolfgang Preinfalk GmbH (PW) in a friendly takeover effective Dec. 1, 2011.
“This means very good perspectives for both companies”, said SCHOTTEL CEO Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Jensen. „The venture meets perfectly our motivation of a diversification apart from the maritime sector on the one side while on the other side utilizing the potential of the new partnership for our core business. PW is a professional in the whole process of manufacturing gear drives as well as design and production of gearboxes for a wide application range. The PW core objective of being a manufacturer of premium quality products will generate additional growth in the future. Above all, the impressive international reference list shows that PW is a top class address for drive technology.“
„With SCHOTTEL, PW has found a medium, sized partner standing for continuity based on 90 years of history” claims Wolfgang Preinfalk, managing director and former owner of PW. „The mutual exchange of knowledge and experience will be good for the further development of both partners.
There will be continuity as well for the 170 Preinfalk employees: The managing directors Wolfgang Preinfalk und Michael Olle will remain in the company.
