Gary Aucoin

Gary Aucoin is President of SCHOTTEL Inc. in Houma/LA and characterized by his extensive experience and enormous knowledge of the US propulsion market.
He holds a master degree in business administration before embarking on a 20-year career with various posts in the maritime sector from which he acquired the in-depth sales and marketing knowledge of the North American market.

Lawren Best

Director of Design Development | Robert Allan Ltd.
Lawren Best joined RAL in 2007 as a Team Lead Naval Architect and Project Manager on projects including a wide range of high-performance tugs, shallow draft pushboats, research vessels, and barges.
Since 2016 he has served as the Director of Design Development and assists owners with reviewing their operational requirements and helping develop fully customized designs.

Jan M. Flores

Vice-President | NETSCo
As Vice-president of NETSCo, Jan leads the firm providing complete ship, tug, and barge designs of all types from concept design through construction.
Jan also leads all initiatives in marine environmental solutions, such as BWMS, EGS, use of alternative fuels, (LNG, CNG, Methanol, Ammonia), Hybrid and Fuel Cell technologies among others.

Henning Frerichs

Senior Sales Manager Tug and Offshore Energy | SCHOTTEL
Henning Frerichs holds a M. Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He started his professional career at SCHOTTEL in 2012.
After having completed a Graduate Program, he is currently working as a Senior Sales Manager. Henning is responsible for the markets in North America and Far East and focuses on the offshore energy sector as well as the tug business.

Dave Lee

Dave Lee graduated from Purdue, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology and AS in Computer Integrated Manufacturing Technology. He has over 20 years of experience including engineering, production,
maintenance, project management and business development. Dave is a Senior Account Manager for ABB leading sales initiative for towboats, tugs, barges, dredging & offshore wind throughout the Americas.

Felix Mehler

Team Manager R&D Product Development | SCHOTTEL
Felix Mehler started his professional career at SCHOTTEL in 2013 following a dual study program for Mechanical Engineering at the University of Koblenz.
After having completed postgraduate studies, he is currently working as team leader in the product development department. Felix Mehler holds a M. Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Koblenz.

Roland Schwandt

Vice President Sales | SCHOTTEL
Roland Schwandt serves as Vice President Sales. Since 2000 he has held several positions within the SCHOTTEL sales organization.
He started his professional career in the Tug Boat and Ferry Division. After six years as Area Sales Manager for North America, he took over the Tug and Offshore Energy Department. Roland studied naval architecture at the University in Duisburg, Germany.

Joshua Sebastian

Engineering Manager | THE SHEARER GROUP, INC.
Joshua Sebastian is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy where he received his B.S. in Naval Architecture and a commission, serving as a qualified underway engineer of the watch/deck watch officer.
Upon leaving the USCG, joined BHGI in 2008 and then moved to Texas in 2013 to his current position as TSGI’s engineering manager.

Thorsten Tillack

Team Manager Hydrodynamics and Propeller Design | SCHOTTEL
Thorsten Tillack, who joined the German propulsion expert in 2005, has completed his diploma thesis in computer science at SCHOTTEL. Since his graduation as a computer scientist at the University of Koblenz,
he has been part of the hydrodynamics department. During his development within the department, he was responsible for the propeller design of conventional shaft lines. Currently, Thorsten leads the department hydrodynamics and propeller design.
